DaMartie

Stopping for a meal at DaMartie restaurant during a trip by car, on foot, or by bike to Třeboň is definitely the right choice. It is located right next to a large parking lot with a bike path running alongside it, just below the Svět pond dam. The restaurant has plenty of space, including a large playroom for children. The service is quick, attentive, and friendly. For refreshment, there are several types of homemade lemonades and well-kept Budvar beer. For our meal, we tried an interesting version of fish soup, a delicate velouté with puff pastry roll with cottage cheese and smoked carp. The dish called Třeboňský Matěj is a delicate carp pâté with a very subtle fish flavor. The main course was carp with dill sauce and potatoes in ash, where the well-seasoned light sauce played the leading role. The fish of the day was perfectly prepared zander with grilled vegetables. Everything was rounded off with a not overly sweet and creamy tiramisu, which was a nice ending to a pleasant visit.
