420 Restaurant

The 420 restaurant is located in the very center of Prague, opposite the Old Town Astronomical Clock, in the historic building U Červené lišky. The interior combines Baroque elements with modern design. The name 420 is derived from the Czech telephone code. This intention reinforces the idea of interpreting modern Czech gastronomy. Under the leadership of Chefs Radek Kašpárek and Marek Komínek, dishes are created here that attract attention and entertain with their presentation. The drink menu offers a wide range of wines, mostly from foreign winemakers. However, beer and cocktail lovers will also find something to their liking. From the appetizers, we can recommend the duck pâté in the shape of a duck, coated with sour cherries, served with apple jam with onions and hazelnut ice cream, complemented by a crackling bun served on a ceramic duck leg. From the main courses, we would highlight the rabbit confit in olive oil with rabbit kidneys, pickled mustard, and eggplant, served with French mustard sauce and roasted garlic oil, accompanied by a side dish of gratin lasagna with béchamel sauce. The veal schnitzel fried in clarified butter with a béchamel sauce made from mature cheeses was also excellent, served with mashed potatoes with brown butter and chives topped with truffle sauce and accompanied by a sweet and sour gooseberry compote. The dessert called Katowice Cigar, a tube filled with chocolate whipped cream and sour cherry jam, served in an ashtray with poppy seed ash, complemented by roasted cream ice cream and pink pepper dressing, was a great finishing touch.
