The restaurant Nebespán in the hotel of the same name leans on a French Chef who is well known in the Šumava region. The kitchen serves up a great performance. The Chef’s creations are impressive, as are the large windows overlooking the garden. The kitchen offers a lunch menu and an evening tasting menu. You can try grilled scallops, for example, which are served with carrots and leek strands. Or a roulade of young lamb from the farm, stuffed with meat and herbs, served with a purée of young Jerusalem artichokes with vanilla and roasted root vegetables. For dessert, there is a poached pear in white wine and ginger. The melted sorbet complemented the pear, which was perfectly seasoned; the ginger brought life whereas the crunchy “strings” added an effect and sweet flavor. The wine list offers a very extensive selection of foreign white, sparkling, rosé, and red wines, as well as a wide selection of wines by the glass.
